Ah ha moment!
My first reaction, when I realized I don’t think as others do, is to retreat and analyze. For decades I've kept certain feelings and beliefs to myself. That's why I've succumbed to writing, texting, emailing & blogging because I want to share my thoughts and hope to provide "food for thought" to others.
The reason why I think the way I do is because I’ve been programmed and trained to think from all angles. to be a problem solver...
* Early childhood education teaches to look at the whole child from different perspectives; kinetically, physically, socially, emotionally, mentally, cognitively.
* In drafting; plan, section, elevation, detail, big picture, 3-D, how does it impact other disciplines.
* While dancing you’re fully aware of what your body parts are doing; your fingers, feet, facial expression, the distance and movement with other dancers around you.
* As a child, I wondered; what the hell is going on around here, why is this happening, what do I do to survive? Constant problem solving.
This chronic questioning and analyzing is exhausting but I can’t turn it off. It’s a huge part of who I am.
I don't live in the past,
but the past lives in me.
I know I can’t make people do what they should do on their own. Therefore, I pray, and try to inspire others to take control of their own lives in ways to make life easier and more enjoyable... thereby making it easier and more enjoyable for others. We’re all connected, some more closely than others.
Every choice we make individually every hour of every day has some consequence, positive or negative. For those around us, they see and feel it immediately. However, the affects of those decisions make ripples that are widespread. I’ve always felt like I’m a big picture kind of gal. And what a beautiful, interesting picture it is. Yet it boggles my brain how so many people can’t see past their own family circle, with their eyes, with their minds and with their hearts.
